Oil turns higher as Brent exceeds $73

Oil prices turned higher during Thursday’s trading, disregarding the rise in the dollar’s value and warnings from the International Energy Agency about ample global supply amid expected weak demand.

Brent crude futures for January delivery rose by 1.10%, or 81 cents, to $73.09 per barrel as of 5:10 PM Mecca time.

U.S. WTI crude futures for December delivery increased by 1.15%, or 77 cents, to $69.20 per barrel
